The state PCC President D Srinivas has convened a dinner meeting to get some traction going in Gandhi Bhavan, Thanks to sub-regional divisions, the activities in ruling party’s office have almost come to a standstill. The situation was bad enough for one senior leader to comment that “except for paying floral tributes, no other activity is being hosted by the PCC.
In fact, the state unit of the Congress has lost its relevance.” The Telengana MPs and MLAs are now stating that they should have their own PCC. A worried DS has also called the C M Rosaiah to the dinner party. But it is highly doubtful if the veteran will attend the meet in this atmosphere of distrust. Even MLAs and MPs from Seema and Andhra regions are worried. “Neither the PCC president nor the chief minister is in a position to hold the party together when it is being pulled apart into Telangana, Seema-Andhra and Jagan camps” one senior leader remarked.
