KCR convened a hurried press conference wherein he announced that his party the TRS will not participate in the all party meeting called for by home minister Chidambaram. The TRS leader accused the centre of attempting to cause deliberate confusion among the parties by eliciting multiple views. He expressed severe disappointment over Delhi's lack of sincerity in providing a long term and permanent solution to the problem.
He however kept a window open when he said that he will participate in the meeting if Chidambaram revises his invitation by asking only 1 member from each party. To a separate question the TRS leader responded that the agitations planned from January 5 will go on as scheduled. There are also unconfirmed reports doing the rounds about a 2-day curfew being imposed from Jan 6 to Jan 8.
