Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said common man was being burdened under the rising prices to the extent that the meager salary an employee was getting was simply not enough to buy essential commodities. The Kadapa leader demanded the Centre take steps to ensure that the prices of petroleum products are reduced immediately. He added that the hike in fuel prices will lead to spiraling inflation as they have a chain reaction on all other commodities.
Mr Jaganmohan Reddy warned that his agitation against the price hike of petroleum products would be aimed at building pressure on the government to ease the burden of the common man. The protest would be held on January 22 at Visakhapatnam, he said, and sought the cooperation of all sections of people. Meanwhile, the Odarpu Yatra would conclude at Visakhapatnam on January 21.
