"We take strong exception to the CM's assurance to the agitating advocates. It is against the Constitution. This will only lead to more problems," S Shailajanath, convener of Congress MLAs and MLCs from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema said.
"The assurance was given after hearing one side. Quota in recruitment cannot be given to a particular region and the government should listen to all people," said Shailajanath, who submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister. Telangana lawyers had held a six-day agitation seeking 42 per cent share in various judicial posts.
