Kudirithe Kappu Coffee Movie Review  – Kudirite Kappu coffee Review – KKC Telugu Movie Review: Varun Sandesh, the lover boy is back again with Kudirithe Kappu Coffee. This is another urbane based lover story targeted at college students and families in cities. KKC is a film that imitates and follows brand Sekhar Kammula movies. What is it about? Let’s check out Kudirithe Kappu Coffee movie review…

Story:

Venu (Varun Sandesh) friend commits suicide because of love. Venu doesn’t get impressed by his friend’s reason to die. He takes an oath that he will not love anyone because love ultimately causes death. He comes to Dakshinagiri on a task assigned by his father. Venu confronts Lasya (Suma Bhattacharya) and both of them works together to get an old lady (who also happens to be Lasya’s grandmother) out of her troubles. In this process Lasya falls in love with Venu but he is completely against it. Does he change his opinion and how? That sums up this film.

Analysis:

Ramana Salva’s story has a purpose and a touch of novelty. But the way it was dealt doesn’t impress many. It would be hard for anyone to connect with the film as the director consistently disturbs you with his ill paced screenplay and never lets you get involved in the film. All the situations are purely dramatic. Although the concept is realistic the director opted to dramatize it and that is where this coffee tastes sour.

It moves at a very slow pace and the heroine slipping into ‘cartoon’ mode adds up to the irritation. First half is a big test for one’s patience as the lead pair doesn’t have any ‘feelings’ towards each other till then. Only at the interval point heroine expresses her love and the hero reacts violently.

What happens next is anybody’s guess. Except for the picturesque locales and soothing cinematography, Kudirite Kappu Coffee is not worth a watch. One needs to be immensely patient to sit through this film without letting out the anguish towards the happenings on screen. Songs are good to listen but they are not properly placed. Actually lyricist Sirivennela has grasped the underlying feelings of the director and has put them in right words. Director Ramana Salva failed to express them as good as Sirivennela.

Performances:

Varun Sandesh’s Telugu has been ridiculed in this film and that would console his ‘fans’. Coming to his performance, Varun still needs to learn. He hardly emotes in few scenes. His outburst doesn’t pinch you means the actor has failed miserably. He should concentrate on his walk and let those shoulders ease a bit. Also so much care should be taken on his costumes. He looked funny in those half sleeved short shirts.

Suma Bhattacharya can act but lacks good looks. Tanikella Bharani is good and so is the old lady. Sivannarayana is fine. Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao lacks ease.

Technicalities:

Abburi Ravi dialogues are good in bits and pieces. Yogeshwara Sharma’s music is fine but the director didn’t make good use of those songs. Sirivennela’s lyrics are clap worthy. Cinematography by Santosh Rai is an asset to this film. Production values are standard.

Ramana Salva’s screenplay and direction are the spoilers in this film. He doesn’t bring his inner feelings and emotions rightly on to the screen. If he does that he could be a good classy director.

Plus Points:

- Cinematography
- Locations
- Music

Minus points:

- Screenplay
- Direction

Final Word:

Kudirithe Kappu Coffee will appeal to people who are patient enough to bear it and who has an open mind to analyze and summarize it. Rest of them could safely stay away from it.
