FarmVille developer Zynga is all set to launch the new game CityVille, which allows users to build their ideal city and then run the town as its mayor. The game will be available at free of cost on Facebook.
CityVille players also can buy Facebook credits to purchase extra features of the game.
Zynga will launch the beta version of CityVille in Dec 2010 and will be available in five languages - English, German, Italian, Spanish and French.
Zynga’s games studio manager Sean Kelly regarded CityVille as the company’s most ‘social’ game to date. The game also allows people to change things on each other’s respective games boards, after permission from the player has been granted.
“Your success in CityVille will be determined by your ability to balance the needs of your people with the business of running restaurants and business, even harvesting your own crops. When you’re good enough, you can even franchise your businesses to other friends’ cities,” said Zynga about CityVille.
Currently, Zynga provides popular games like FarmVille, Mafia Wars, FrontierVille, CafeWorld, FishVille etc on Facebook, MySpace and Yahoo.
