Rs 3.56 billion for Dal Lake restoration by centre

Srinagar, September 1 (ANI): Central government has approved a grant of Rs 3.56 billion for the preservation and conservation of Dal Lake in Srinagar. The pollution and garbage of the city spoiled the renowned lake, which was the main attraction for the tourists.

The state government had appealed for funds, which were recently sanctioned by the centre. Meanwhile boatmen are happy over the decision as they feel that it would benefit the tourism sector greatly
