Incidentally thousands of TDP activists from the Ranga Reddy and the Nalgonda districts welcomed him with open hands. The police have made elaborate security arrangements for Mr. Naidu's visit to Bayyaram in view of the reported comments made by some TRS leaders to obstruct the programme, sources said.
Incidentally the TRS is trying to gain some foothold in the Khamman district. The TRS failed to gain foothold in the district because of several reasons. One reason is that the Khammam district is culturally more close to the Andhra region than the North Telangana region. And this district has a huge population of the Kamma caste. It is for this reason that the MP from the district usually has to be a Kamma.
