AR Rahman hails ‘Swagatham’; CWG theme song released

Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi unveiled the Commonwealth Games 2010 theme song ‘Swagatham’ at a glittering ceremony here on Saturday. The song, which has been composed by Oscar winner music director AR Rahman, echoed the nation’s enthusiasm for the upcoming event.

After the song was released, Rahman said that he could not decide on the song till the very last moment. “I kept tweaking it (the song) and finished it last night,” he said.
